SEATTLE, WA—Cordell Maurice Goosby, 30, was charged with the murder of Eina Kwon on Friday. He shot the eight-month pregnant woman on Wednesday while she was sitting in her Tesla. Her husband was also injured during the shooting, however, he’s expected to survive.
Goosby allegedly repeated the words “I did it, I did it” when he was arrested at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Lenora Street shortly after shooting Kwon to death.
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Goosby with murder in the first degree and attempted murder in connection to the shooting, reports KOMO News.

Seattle Police Chief Adrian Diaz stated this case is among the worst he’s seen in his 26 years in the department during a press conference.
“They know of the subject in the past, so they are very well aware of some of the mental health issues he’s had,” Diaz said.
Police officers previously dealt with Goosby on calls about his mental health.
