Ex-Miss Universe Malaysia Issues an Apology

June 3, 2020

The 25-year-old Chinese-Brazilian Malaysian former Miss Universe Malaysia 2017, Samantha Katie James issued an apology via Instagram. This apology comes as makeup company Velvet Vanity cut ties with James after her June 1 racist rant on Instagram and subsequent netizen backlash.

A few days ago, possible new MENSA candidate Samantha Katie James decided to air out her views on race in America and her thoughts about black people. James has shown her racist side before. Here’s a clip of her talking down to multiple South Africans back in 2017.

“I don’t live in America, it has nothing to do with me, but to me, it seems like the ‘whites’ won. Because if you’re angry, you respond in rage and anguish. That means it has power over you. They have power over you.”

There is currently a petition to strip James of her Miss Universe Malaysia Crown and Title. It needs 150,000 signatures and currently at 92,938. The link to that petition can be found here

  1. Majority of Black Americans don’t believe in concepts of reincarnation like Samantha James.

  2. I’m not surprised she’s racist. Several of the recent Miss Malaysias are mixed – Leggett, Fonseka, Henry, and her. The whole Malaysian contest favors Eurasians over pure Chinese, Malays or Indians. It promotes the white standards of beauty and white supremacy that these models are full of.
